License Terms

Last updated 18 September 2026

This is the license that lets you stream our catalog inside your app. It sits alongside the Terms of Service; where the two conflict on anything about the content itself, this page wins.

1. What you are granted

For as long as your subscription is current and paid, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:

  • Stream the catalog to end users inside your own branded app;
  • Charge your users for access to it, through coins, unlocks, subscriptions or advertising, on whatever terms you set;
  • Use supplied stills, titles, synopses and trailers to promote it in your territory.

You keep 100% of what your app earns. We take no revenue share and no cut of advertising.

2. Your catalog

Every title we release during your subscription is added to your app on release day, at no extra cost. There are no tiers of catalog access and no titles held back for a higher plan.

Release dates are announced on the 1st of each month. The number and timing of releases are at the studio’s discretion and are not warranted; your fee is for the app, the catalog as it stands and grows, and your position under clause 3.

Once a title is delivered to you it stays in your catalog for as long as you subscribe, unless we must withdraw it for a legal reason under clause 8.

3. Your exclusive title

When your app goes live you select one title as your exclusive in your country, from the titles then open there. For three months (four on Scale, which takes two titles) no other operator in your country may promote or feature that title.

The exclusive runs with your subscription, month by month. It lasts three consecutive paid months from the day your app goes live (four on Scale). If your subscription ends or lapses before then, your marketing rights in that title end on the last day you have paid for — the remaining months are not kept, credited or refunded. We hold the title for seven days after that in case you return; if you have not, it goes to the next operator in your country’s pick order. Months are not banked: an operator who rejoins later joins the back of the pick order and chooses from what is open then.

Exclusivity is per country, not worldwide. The same title can be exclusive to an operator in the United States and to a different operator in the United Kingdom at the same time. Each title has one exclusive holder per country. Operators pick in the order they joined — first come, first served — and that order is kept for as long as they subscribe; an operator who cancels and returns joins the back of it.

What exclusivity means in practice: only you may market that title in your territory, present it as a headline title, or use its artwork in paid promotion. Other operators still receive the title in their shared catalog and their users can still watch it — they simply may not promote it in your country.

At the end of the exclusive period the title returns to the shared catalog. You may extend it by four more months at the rate then published.

4. Territory

Your license covers the countries listed in your plan — one on Launch, two on Growth, four on Scale. You may market to audiences in those countries only. Extra countries are available as an add-on.

We do not require you to geo-block viewers who arrive from elsewhere. The restriction is on where you market, not on where a user happens to open the app.

5. What you may not do

  • Sub-license, resell, syndicate or distribute the catalog outside your own app.
  • Permit downloading, screen-recording at scale, ripping, or re-uploading to any third-party platform including social video services — beyond short promotional clips of your own making.
  • Remove, alter or obscure copyright notices, watermarks or embedded identifiers.
  • Edit, dub, subtitle, re-cut or create derivative works, unless we agree in writing.
  • Claim authorship or present the catalog as your own production. You may say it is exclusive to you; you may not say you made it.
  • Use the catalog to train machine learning or generative models.
  • Place the catalog next to content that is unlawful, or that would reasonably damage the reputation of the work.

6. Delivery and technical

  • Delivered ready to stream — vertical, full HD, and the quality adapts to the viewer's connection on its own. There is nothing for you to encode, host or upload.
  • New titles appear in your catalog automatically. No app rebuild or store resubmission is needed.
  • Bandwidth to your plan limit is included. Beyond it, extra bandwidth is charged per TB at the rate quoted to you before it is billed.
  • Episodes are delivered in English. Other languages are produced to order and quoted separately.

7. Ownership and chain of title

The catalog is produced in-house by the studio. We own or control all rights in it, and we keep documented chain of title — production records, contributor agreements and copyright registrations — for every series we deliver.

Nothing in this license transfers ownership to you. You acquire a right to stream, not a right in the work.

We will provide chain-of-title documentation on reasonable request, for example if an app store or a payment provider asks you to evidence your right to distribute.

8. Our indemnity to you

We indemnify you against third-party claims that the catalog infringes their intellectual property, provided you used it within this license. We will defend the claim at our cost and pay damages and costs finally awarded or agreed in settlement.

This indemnity is not subject to the liability cap in the Terms of Service. It is the promise that makes licensed catalog different from a scraper API, and we do not want it diluted.

To rely on it, tell us promptly when a claim arrives, let us control the defense, and do not admit liability or settle without asking us. If we ever need to withdraw a title for a legal reason we will replace it with another of equivalent standing and refund any exclusivity fee you paid for it.

9. Term and what happens at the end

The license runs for as long as your subscription is current. When it ends — whether you cancel or we terminate — your right to stream the catalog ends with it, and you must remove the content from your app within thirty days.

What does not end: your brand, your domain, your users, their data, your payment and ad accounts, and every dollar you have already earned. Those were always yours and we make no claim on them.

10. Custom titles

If you commission a custom series, it is produced to your brief and you receive twelve months of exclusive marketing rights in your country and language. Ownership of the work stays with the studio unless we agree a full buyout in writing and separately. After the exclusive period it may enter the shared catalog, with a right of first refusal to you to extend.
